Summer Lodge dates back to 1789. Built for the 2nd Earl of Ilchester, Thomas Hardy was commissioned to draw plans for a second floor by the 6th Earl in 1893. Impeccably restored with 24 gorgeous bedrooms, suites and cottages - many with fireplaces - it combines the finest English furnishings and classical art with the latest technology, including complimentary Wi-Fi. The award-winning restaurant, under Head Chef Steven Titman and Sommelier Eric Zwiebel is a delight and the Lodge’s own vegetable garden and extensive wine cellar complement the culinary experience.
